Who we are
Brake The Psychol was co-founded by Mark W. Gillette Jr. and Kerby Louisville, two fathers and purpose-driven leaders committed to breaking generational barriers and redefining what mental resilience looks like in real time. What began as honest conversations about legacy, discipline, and the patterns they refused to pass down to their children has grown into a platform that transforms personal growth into public impact through endurance challenges, storytelling, and community engagement.
Together, they lead initiatives like the Proof Ride — a multi-day cycling journey from New Jersey to Washington, DC in collaboration with Active Minds , using physical endurance as a living metaphor for accountability, healing, and long-term change. Their work focuses on reaching young people and underserved communities with a message that resilience is built through consistent action and that mental wellness is a lifelong practice.
Their long-term vision is to expand Brake The Psychol into a national movement that combines impact campaigns, strategic partnerships, and speaking engagements to inspire lasting cultural change.
